For the 2026 model year, the Subaru Crosstrek adds a new electric-assisted powertrain option to the roster. Available in Sport and Limited trims, the Crosstrek Hybrid blends smooth performance and improved efficiency with the dependability and balance of the automaker's signature BOXER® engine. While similar in many ways to its gas-powered counterpart, the Crosstrek Hybrid distinguishes itself with attributes like unique 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels and eye-catching color options like Citron Yellow Pearl and Sand Dune Pearl.
Performance
The Crosstrek Hybrid combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle BOXER® engine paired with dual electric motors, generating a combined 194 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-MODE® traction management work together to enhance handling and control in various conditions, giving you confidence to traverse gravel paths, navigate icy New England, or explore light trails. Additionally, with an estimated 42 mpg in combined city/highway fuel economy and nearly 600 miles of total range per tank, the new Crosstrek Hybrid is as efficient as it is capable.
