Subaru Safety
Here at MetroWest, one of the things we love about being a Subaru dealer is the automaker's unwavering commitment to safety throughout its entire model lineup. Subaru's safety reputation is legendary and it has the accolades to prove it. For five straight years, from 2010-2015, Subaru was the only automaker to earn Top Safety Pick ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for every single one of its vehicles. Furthermore, in 2016, every single Subaru vehicle equipped with EyeSight technology earned the institute's highest safety rating: Top Safety Pick+. How does Subaru do it?

Standard Safety Features
Most Subaru models are available at the base level with safety equipment such as:
- A Rearview Camera: Gives the driver better view behind the vehicle, aiding in obstacle avoidance.
- Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC): A stability control system that detects when you steer and break, and keeps the vehicle on the intended path.
- Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD): In addition to standard Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), Subaru models come with an EBD system that optimally distributes braking power depending on how the vehicle is loaded.
- Seat Cushion Airbags: These serve to correctly position the driver in the event of a frontal collision.
