Love Promise Story Winner

MetroWest Subaru has done it again, showing just how deeply they care for this community. While they help many others, for Family Promise Metrowest, their support comes in so many forms-making donations, filling holiday gift lists, attending events, offering encouragement, and most importantly, offering hope. Their most recent act of generosity came when FPM was preparing to welcome a new family into our Shelter Program. The family faced an unexpected challenge: a gap of a few days between leaving their current residence and when their shelter space would be available. The situation was especially hard because the daughter has special needs, making any disruption even more difficult. After exhausting all usual resources-local organizations and town funds that typically cover short hotel stays for families in these types of situations-our staff reached out to MetroWest Subaru. Within an hour, they had provided the funds needed to ensure the family had a safe place to stay during the transition. Because VJ from Metrowest Subaru is always ready to act, he was on-site when the family arrived and received an emotional, heartfelt thank you from the mom. This gesture from MW Subaru not only provided immediate relief but also exemplified what it means to step up for those in need. In 2022, Family Promise MetroWest was selected as a Share the Love recipient, thanks to MetroWest Subaru. The result was nearly $85,000 in funding, an extraordinary gift that has had a transformative impact. In 2023, those funds went directly to helping families in the community who were either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Throughout the year, FPM served 110 families with 208 children. Because of MetroWest Subaru's generosity, funds helped families secure basic needs like afterschool care and summer camp for their children, and some were able to avoid homelessness altogether. Since beginning to work with Subaru, we have had a reliable and enthusiastic partner. We are so grateful to MetroWest Subaru for consistently being there for families like this one, proving time and again that their commitment to our community is more than a promise-it's a way of life.
